The Division Bench of the Telangana High Court, comprising Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice N.Tukaramji in the case of Rapolu Bhaskar v. Chief Election Officer & Ors has issued the notice to the State Election Commission and Panchayat Raj Department on a PIL seeking the conduct of local body elections in the state.
The Bench expected from the respondent to appraise the Court as to when elections to the local bodies of Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad and Gram Panchayat in the State of Telangana would be conducted.
The Court listed the matter on 27.04.2023 for next hearing.
