Assam Judicial Services Exam 2019 [48 Vacancies]: Apply by March 8

Gauhati High Court invites applications for the following posts:

• Grade 1 of Assam Judicial Services: 10 Vacancies, Payscale Rs. 51,550-1230-58,930-1380-63,070
• Grade 3 of Assam Judicial Services: 38 Vacancies, Payscale  Rs. 27,700-770-33,090-920-40,450-1,080-44,770

Eligibility

Grade 1: 

• Holder of a degree of law granted by a recognised university
• Must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and Criminal jurisdiction on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have been so practicing for a period of not less than 7 years as on such date.
• Must have attained 35 years but should not have completed 48 years in the case of SC/ST and 45 years in the case of others.

Grade 3:

• Holder of a degree of law granted by a recognised university.
• Must not have completed 43 years in the case of SC/ST and 38 years in the case of others.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be via a competitive exam consisting of Preliminary Examination (Screening Test), Main Written Examination and Viva Voce/Interview.
