About the organiser and essay competition

The Advocates League (TAL) is going to organized the Essay Writing Competition that encourages the students to showcase their writing skill in the field of law. The main aim of this competition is the Advancement of Legal Researches and writing on the Burning Legal issues and Legal Development.

Eligibility

  • All undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognized Colleges/Institution/Universities are eligible to participate in this competition.
  • Only one submission per author will be accepted. Multiple or incomplete submission lead to disqualification from the competition.

Themes

  • LGBTQI Community- Recognition and Rights.
  • Budget 2020: Hits and Misses.
  • Justice delayed is Justice denied.
  • A New Education Policy for a New India.
  • A Constitutional Analysis of the 2019 Maharashtra Political Crisis.

Prizes

Top 3 will be awarded with

  • 1st Prize: 1000 Cash Prize + Internship
  • 2nd Prize: Internship
  • 3rd Prize: Internship

Top 10 participants will be provided with a certificate of merit. All the participants in will be awarded with E-certificate of participation.

Submission Guidelines

  • All the contributions should be the original work of the contributors and should not have been submitted for any other Organisation.
  • Any plagiarized work will be rejected immediately.
  • The Word Limit of the Article shall be: Short Essay 1500 to 3000 words.
  • Co-authorship allowed up to two authors.
  • Articles should be in Times New Roman 12 font size and Title should be in full capitals, bold with center 16 font size. Sub-titles should be in sentence case, bold and 12 font size.
  • TAL reserves the Copyright of the essays and in case of copyright infringement (copied matter) TAL is not liable for it. TAL also reserves the right to edit the essay for clarity of language, grammar & space in case of publication.

How to register

There is No Registration Fee.

Essay should be submitted by email to (submissions[@]theadvocatesleague.in) on or before 10th March 2020. With subject as “Essay: ‘Name of Topic’.” Mail should carry the name of the authors, course, year, E-mail ID, contact, designation, name of institution/affiliation/University.
