The National Service Scheme (NSS) stands as a beacon of collective action and unity in a world marked by diverse challenges and dynamic opportunities. As we embark on the NSS March for Change, under the theme “Building a Better World Together,” we are not merely organising events; we are catalyzing a movement.
This theme encapsulates the essence of NSS, embodying its spirit of inclusivity, collaboration, and proactive engagement. Throughout the month, we will rally around a series of events and competitions that not only showcase our commitment to addressing global challenges but also celebrate the power of unity in fostering positive change.
Each event is carefully curated to resonate with the core values of NSS, inviting participation from every corner of our community and beyond. While the events listed here are just a glimpse, they embody the spirit of our collective effort to create meaningful change.
The Essay Writing Competition, hosted by the NSS Unit, University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on the occasion of Zero Discrimination Day on March 1, 2024, centred on the United Nations’ designated theme, ‘To Protect Everyone’s Health, Protect Everyone’s Rights.’
This competition aims to amplify awareness, ignite discussions, and foster critical thinking among participants regarding the intersectionality of health and human rights. By participating in an essay competition, people can develop their critical thinking and research skills. This can help them better understand the complex issue of discrimination, and can also help them identify ways to prevent it when done unknowingly.
By holding an essay competition, we can encourage community involvement and engagement in the fight against discrimination. By providing a platform for people to share their knowledge and ideas, we can help advance the fight against discrimination.
The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Delhi only.
The UN-designated theme for Zero Discrimination Day, 2024, is ‘To Protect Everyone’s Health, Protect Everyone’s Rights.’
Prizes will be awarded to the top essays.
