The Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla (HPNLU, Shimla) was established by the State Government in the year 2016, by an Act of the Legislature (Act 16 of 2016). The University started functioning on October 5, 2016.
The Legal Aid Clinic, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla, is an initiative that embodies the constitutional mandate of ensuring access to justice for all. Established with the vision of nurturing socially responsible legal professionals, the Clinic serves as a bridge between the law and the community.
The workshop is open to law students, research scholars, academicians, legal professionals, social activists, and individuals interested in transparency and accountability in governance. Students from allied disciplines such as public administration, political science, journalism, and social sciences are also encouraged to enrol.
No prior legal knowledge is required — anyone interested in understanding the legal, practical, and preventive aspects of Right to information is welcome to join.
