About the Organization

Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT) is a registered trust founded by Mr. Julio Ribeiro, Dr. R.K. Anand, and late Mr. B.G. Deshmukh to increase public participation and activism towards creating a more transparent and efficient governance system. In order to sensitize and mentor the youth in ethical values with an emphasis on good governance, PCGT started the Youth For Governance (YFG) program in the year 2012.

About the Event

Public Concern for Governance Trust (PCGT) in association with Anhad is organizing a dialogue on “Demystifying Governance”, which will be delivered by Mr. V.P. Raja (Ex-IAS) at NMIMS School of Law.

Venue: Seminar Hall, 1st floor, Mithibai building, Vile Parle, Mumbai.

About the Speaker

As an IAS officer of the Maharahstra cadre, Mr. V. P. Raja has worked in various assignments at the District, State and Centre. At the State level, besides holding positions in Finance and Urban Development, he has served as Secretary in the Departments of Trade & Commerce, Housing & Special Assistance, Higher & Technical Education and Water Supply and Sanitation. While on deputation to the Government of India, he has held responsible posts in the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Planning Commission and the Ministry of Defence.

He has authored several books and publications on Zero Base Budgeting, State Finances and Economic Reforms. He has made important contributions to administrative reforms in Maharashtra while working as Collector of Satara and as Transport Commissioner. In recognition of his outstanding contribution to Public Administration, Shri Raja was awarded the P.J. Chinmulgund Distinguished Government Administration.
