About the Organisations

DeBrief is a collective of Lawyers established in 2019 to provide forums of discussions on contemporary legal topics of practical and academic importance.

The Advocates’ Association of Western India is a 150 years old Bar Association in the Bombay High Court, at Mumbai.

About the Series

The A.A.W.I, in association with DeBrief, is organizing the Annual A.A.W.I. Lecture Series. The Lecture Series will promote a free exchange of ideas between Judges, Advocates, students and members of academia through lectures and interactive sessions.

The inaugural Annual A.A.W.I. Lecture will be delivered by the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Judge, Supreme Court of India on ‘Parliamentary Privileges and a Citizen’.

Date: 30th November 2019

Venue

The lecture is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. in the Central Courtroom of the Bombay High Court at Fort, Mumbai.

Registration Details

The lecture is open to all Advocates, students, members of academia and other interested members of the general public. There shall neither be any registration nor any charges for attending the lecture. Seating will be provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
