ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) is a Public law institute located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. As one of the Autonomous law schools in India, it is regarded as a premier law school in the country. Dr. RMLNLU was established in the year 2005, and since then, has been providing undergraduate and post-graduate legal education.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU) is organising a National Seminar on “Indian Constitution at 70: Perspectives and Prospects”.

Dates: 20-21 March 2020

Venue: Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Sec- D1, LDA Colony, Kanpur Road Scheme, Lucknow – 226012, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Themes

The seminar invites original unpublished papers from legal professionals, academicians and students that may address one or more of the following themes. Papers may include, but are not limited to the following topics and writers may explore any area touching upon the theme and objectives of the Seminar:

1. The precincts of Transformative Constitutionalism
2. Exploring Constitutional Morality
3. Women, Equality and the Constitution
4. LGBTQI Community- Recognition and Rights
5. Minorities and the Constitution
6. Inclusion, Socio-Economic Justice and the Constitution
7. Sovereignty, Constitution and Democracy
8. Information, Media and contemporary democracy
9. Role of the Constitution in deepening social democracy

Call for Papers

All the submissions should be emailed to the constitutionseminar2020[@]gmail.com by 10th February 2020.

Registration Details

Registration is compulsory for those who intend to participate in the seminar. Registration charges would cover the cost for the seminar kit and the food provided during the seminar. Accommodation shall be provided to outstation participants with
extra cost subject to availability

The following registration charges would apply

For academicians: Rs. 700/-

Other professionals: Rs. 800/-

Research Scholars: Rs. 500/-

The mode of Payment and details pertaining to participation shall be intimated upon the acceptance of the abstracts.
