It aims to bring together students, researchers, academicians, and practitioners to share sharp insights, publish impactful articles, and engage in meaningful discussions on contemporary legal and policy issues.
With a focus on research-driven and analytical content—from case commentaries to policy analysis—FairLex creates a space where ideas don’t just exist, but influence.
About the Opportunity
FairLex is inviting submissions for its blog on a rolling basis. The platform seeks original, analytical, and well-researched articles on a wide range of contemporary legal issues. Submissions may engage with recent judicial developments, legislative changes, policy debates, or broader socio-legal concerns.
Categories of Submissions
- Analytical Essays (1500–2000 words): In-depth research and detailed analysis
- Case Comments / Legislative Notes (1200–1500 words): Focused analysis of judgments or legal developments
- Opinion Pieces (800–1200 words): Concise insights on current legal issues
Themes
Submissions may broadly fall under the following themes:
- Case Commentaries: Analysis of recent judgments from the Supreme Court, High Courts, Tribunals, and international courts
- Legislative & Policy Analysis: Examination of new laws, amendments, and policy developments
- Contemporary Legal Issues: Critical reflections on emerging legal debates and recent rulings
- Practice & Procedure: Insights into civil procedure, criminal procedure, evidence law, and litigation practice
- ADR & Dispute Resolution: Arbitration, mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute mechanisms
- Law & Society: Socio-legal perspectives including gender justice, minority rights, constitutional values, and access to justice
Note: These themes are indicative and not exhaustive. All submissions must be analytical rather than merely descriptive.

The opportunity is open to law students, academicians, researchers, and legal practitioners.

Submission Procedure
- Submissions must be original and unpublished
- Co-authorship is permitted
- Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format
- A plagiarism report (Turnitin or equivalent) must be attached, with similarity not exceeding 15% (excluding references and properly cited quotations)
- The subject line of the submission email should be: “Title of the Blog”
- The email must include the author’s name, designation/year of study, institutional affiliation, email ID, and contact number

Formatting Guidelines
- Font: Times New Roman, Size 12
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Paragraph Spacing: 6 pt before and after
- Title must be bold and underlined (sentence case)
- Headings: Heading 2 in bold, Heading 3 underlined
- Citations: Hyperlinks preferred; endnotes in Bluebook (22nd edition) style where necessary
