In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of Rajasthan Wild Animals and Birds Protection Act, 1951 (12 of 1951) the Government is pleased to make the following rules

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (a) These rules shall be called the Rajasthan Entrance to the Game Sanctuaries Rules, 1958.

(b) These Rules shall apply to all the Game Sanctuaries already established in the State or in future.

(c) These rules shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Rajasthan Gazette.

2. Definitions.- (a) "Sanctuary" means the areas notified as reserved areas under section 5 of the Rajasthan Wild Animals and Birds Protection Act, 1951.

(b) "Act" means the Rajasthan Wild Animal and Birds Protection Act, 1951.

3. Conditions for visitors- Before entering into a sanctuary, the visitor will contact the officer incharge of the sanctuary at his office and sign a register kept for the purpose in which the name, address, nationality and the object of visit, whether for general observation of the wild life or for taking photographs, of the visitor and every member of his party shall be entered.
4. Prohibition- No body shall enter any sanctuary without being accompanied by an official of the sanctuary.
5. Weapons prohibited- No firearms shall be carried into the sanctuary. All firearms will have to be deposited with the officer incharge of the sanctuary, in his office.

[Provided that the provision of this rule shall not apply to the villagers residing in the Game Sanctuary and keeping Fire Arms of which the barrels have been cut.]

6. No Fees- No fee will be charged for entry in the sanctuary except for professional photographing.
7. Special arrangements- If any special arrangements are required by the visitor atleast 15 days notice with necessary remittance of money shall be given to the officer in charge of the sanctuary.
8. Fees for photographic instruments visitors Book- Professional photographers shall pay the following fees in advance, before entering into a sanctuary for taking photographs. The permit will be issued by the Game Warden or Game Ranger incharge of the sanctuary.—

(a) for Cine Camera, Rs.50/- for the first 100 fit and Rs. 10/- per every subsequent 100 fit or fraction of a roll.

(b) for Still Camera, Rs.25/- per Camera.]
