Two girls eloped in Guna district of Madhya Pradesh last month and tied the knot, with one rocking a traditional bridal look and the other in a groom's outfit.
Their marital relationship came to an end on Friday when the 'groom' was arrested under Pocso Act and sent to jail. Police say her 'bride' is a minor.
The accused girl is a resident of Shivpuri, and the minor is her cousin.
They have told police that they met at a relative's place and dated for a year before deciding to marry.
They were reported missing by their family members on June 22. Police located them on Friday, after nearly a month, and were shocked to realise that one of them is a minor. She was counselled and taken back by her family.
