January,12,2017:
Supreme Court told Sahara Group Chief Subrata Roy to deposit Rs 600 crore more in the SEBI-Sahara refund account by February 6 or go to the jail.
Apex Court Bench comprising of Chief Justice JS Khehar , Justice Ranjan Gogoi and AK Sikri further added that, "too much indulgence" has already been given to Sahara Chief.
Till now, Sahara has returned total of Rs 18,000 crores to its investors.
Sahara Chief was sent to the jail on May 4, 2014, for his failure to comply with the 2012 order directing him to return investors' Rs. 17,600 crores with the 15 percent interest.
