HC orders blacklisting of Experts who prepared question paper for 2016 recruitment of Assistant Professor if  the answer-key is found to be incorrect [Read Order]

The Allahabad High Court has passed the direction that the experts of the Higher Education Commission, who prepared the Assistant Professor Recruitment 2016 question paper, that if the answer of the question given in the answer key is wrong, they will be ordered to be blacklisted.

This order has been given by Single Bench of Justice Vivek Agarwal on hearing the plea of ​​Assistant Professor Recruitment 2016 candidate Sarita Singh.

“If it is found that expert of respondent no. 2 are not able to satisfy the University Grants Commission guidelines then it will be open to the court to direct for black listing of such experts after giving them opportunity of hearing”. The Court said.

Advocate Seemant Singh on behalf of the petitioner, submitted before the court that the question number 52 of the A Series booklet of Sociology is in disputed in present matter. The petitioner’s answer of question no. 52 is wrong as per the answer-key of Commission but the same question was also asked in the UGC NET 2018 and the UGC considered the petitioner answer to be correct while the Commission considered the petitioners' answer incorrect.

The court said that the UGC is a specialist body, which also makes guidelines for the Higher Education Commission. The court directed the petitioner to be a party to the petition to the UGC.

The petition will be heard on 17 November.
