Global Health and Human Rights Database, Lawyers Collective and O’ Neill Institute for National & Global Health Law of Georgetown Law Washington, USA.

The Global Health and Human Rights Database (“Database”), a database of judgments on Right to Health accessible was started by Anand Grover, with the help of Brian Citro, in the Lawyers Collective, in 2008 during his tenure as the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health.

About the internship

Research-based work from home internship.

The database works in partnership with various law schools across the world including the likes of Virginia Law School, NYU, Michigan Law School, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University and the University of Toronto, among others.

The student/researchers from these universities cull out judgments in the area of health from diverse jurisdictions in Latin America, Africa, Europe, translate them (if they are not in English) and summarise them.

The partnership with schools around the world is based on the students opting to translate and summarise or only summarise the judgment based on which they get credits in the University assessment. The final translations and the summaries are supervised by our Project Manager.
