AZB, IndusLaw, Kirkland advise Wipro's biggest IT contract from Alight Solutions

Wipro has won its largest Information Technology outsourcing contract, valued at $1.6 billion over 10 years from Alight Solutions LLC.

AZB & Partners  led by Partner Srinath Dasari acted for Wipro. Wipro's in-house team was led by Nils Vernooij.

IndusLaw led by Partners Gaurav Dani and Saurav Kumar along with Principal Associates Harman Walia and Anubha Sital, Senior Associate Nikita Goyal and Associate Suvarna Swain acted for Alight Solutions. IndusLaw also advised and represented Wipro in its merger control filings before the CCI for obtaining an approval for the transaction.

The IndusLaw Competition team included Partner Avimukt Dar, Senior Associate Shreya Suri and Associate Parumita Pal.

Kirkland & Ellis acted as the US counsel for Alight Group and the Alight in-house team was led by Dalbir Sahrawat.

A 10-year partnership with $150-$160 million as annual revenue will translate into $1.5-1.6 billion over the period of the contract. It is more than the $1.1 billion order that Wipro has won from Canadian logistics firm ATCO in June 2014.
