Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) has inaugurated two state of the art Mobile Lok Adalat Vans aimed at expanding access to legal services across rural and remote districts. The move strengthens outreach, enabling citizens to seek free legal aid, dispute resolution, and awareness about their rights without traveling long distances.
With only four mobile vans serving 34 districts, TSLSA has added two Multi-Utility Vehicles to enhance the reach of legal literacy programs, jail visits, and awareness campaigns. Equipped with facilities for video conferencing, Lok Adalats, and digital legal consultations, the vans allow judicial officers, lawyers, and para-legal volunteers to bring justice directly to villages.
The initiative, funded by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), also promotes government schemes, legal rights awareness, and dispute resolution through mobile Lok Adalats, addressing a long-standing gap in access to justice for marginalized communities.
The launch was inaugurated by Justice Vikram Nath, Executive Chairman of NALSA, in the presence of Supreme Court and High Court judges including Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh. Emphasizing the importance of outreach, Justice Singh noted that these vehicles would help the Authority “guide citizens in obtaining justice and create awareness on various legal issues to promote a peaceful and healthy society.”
The vans are set to follow a monthly schedule prepared by District Legal Services Authorities for coordinated deployment.
