Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) acted as legal counsel to the sellers on the acquisition by Nazara Technologies Limited, through its wholly owned subsidiary Nazara Technologies UK Limited, of a 50% controlling stake in Bluetile Games S.L. (formerly known as Playvalve S.L.) and BestPlay Systems S.L., for an initial consideration of approximately USD 100.3 million (~INR 918 crores).
Bluetile and BestPlay operate a diversified portfolio of globally popular casual and social mobile games, including titles such as Yatzy, Domino Legends, Mahjong Voyage, and Spade Stars. The transaction strengthens Nazara’s presence in the global mobile gaming ecosystem, providing access to Bluetile and BestPlay’s portfolio of casual and social mobile games, supported by AI-assisted development capabilities.
