The Apex Court has decided to further limit its functioning & will restrict the number of courts to 4 on Thursday, a senior official in the Supreme Court said.

The Top Court had earlier announced that it will only hear urgent matters till March 31.

This comes in line with the Supreme Court's decision to introduce several precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus & allowed only restricted entry of lawyers, litigants, & journalists in the courtroom.

On Tuesday, CJI S A Bobde, along with 3 other Judges visited the SC corridors & inspected the area to take stock of the situation inside the premise.

Thermal-screening of the Advocates, litigants, & media persons are also being conducted in the Top Court since Monday.
