Apex Court Bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra expounded that,"How can a person disqualified by virtue of Supreme court order be nominated as nominee of state cricket associations & attend the meeting of the BCCI."

On Friday, the Apex Court questioned controversial former cricket administrators N Srinivasan & Niranjan Shah for attending a recent meeting of BCCI, by asking how could persons disqualified by SC be part of any deliberation of this cash-rich body.Bench, which also comprised Justice A M Khanwilkar & Justice D Y Chandrachud, issued notices to Srinivasan & Shah seeking their responses to hear them on 24th July, when they'll also go into the 4th status report filed by Committee of Administrators (COA) headed by the former CAG Vinod Rai.

In the 4th status report submitted by the COA, Srinivasan & Shah have been described as "disqualified office bearers with vested interest", who're trying to stall implementation of the Lodha reforms.

Both Srinivasan & Shah were disqualified from becoming office bearers of BCCI/state cricket bodies as they fell under category of debarment for either having conflict of interest/attaining the age of 70 years, as per Justice R. M. Lodha led panel recommendation which're accepted by the Supreme Court.
