Panama Papers leak has a list which includes around 500 Indian entities.

The Supreme Court of India has today sought response from the Centre on a plea which seeks CBI inquiry against those Indians who have  offshore bank accounts and are named in the Panama papers.

A Apex Court Bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra and SK Singh has issued notices to Central Govt. and the CBI on a petition filed by Lawyer M L Sharma.

On this issue a Multi Agency Group (MAG) of various investigative agencies has been formed by the Central government to investigate the disclosures made in the list which includes around 500 Indian entities.

Panama Papers leaks contains an unprecedented amount of important information, including more than one Crore documents covering 2,10,000 companies in 21 different offshore jurisdictions.

Each of these transaction spans into different jurisdictions and involve multiple entities and individuals.
