Demonetization of Rs.500/1000 Notes: Now Payment of Court Fees by Litigants exempted by Govt.

November,12,2016:Amid problems faced by litigants Government has now issued a clarification whereby it extended the existing exemptions until the expiry of 14th November, 2016.

As regards the existing series of high denomination bank notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 denominations, certain modifications / additions have been made to the existing exemptions.

It has now been decided that the existing exemptions will be extended until the expiry of 14th November, 2016, with the under mentioned modifications / additions to the existing exemptions:

(i) Payment for court fees shall be included in the exemptions now.

(ii) The ID proof of customers will be necessary at consumer cooperative stores.

(iii) Utility bills payments will be restricted to only individuals / households for arrears and / or current bills, but no advance payment will be allowed.

This is in addition to exemptions already issued viz. Petrol Pumps etc
