COVID Crisis: Bar Council of Delhi urges Legal Fraternity to contribute to fund generated to aid finances to Advocates in distress

The Bar Council of Delhi had just yesterday announced that it is going to provide financial assistance to an extent of ₹5,000 to Advocates who are in distress in these difficult times.

The crisis is clearly quiet large that community cooperation is required. In that direction, the Bar Council of Delhi has now urged the Legal Fraternity to come forward and contribute in the fund so generated.

The Bar Council of Delhi Chairman, KC Mittal has urged in an appeal directed to President, Supreme Court Bar Association; President, Delhi High Court Bar Association; Presidents of All Bar Associations in Delhi; all Senior Advocates and Senior Members of the Bar in Delhi and NCR that they owe great responsibilty towards their fellow colleagues who are in hardship due the present health crisis and thus should generously contribute.

He said:

“..we owe greater responsibility towards our fellow colleagues, who are facing hardship, to extend helping hand within our resources. In this hour of crisis, we would request you and everyone to contribute generously and jointly take up the cause, so that we can provide more necessary help to our fellow colleagues and their families in Delhi and NCR, to overcome the hardship.”

All the Bar Associations has also been asked to come together to stand with their fellow colleagues and their family members in such scare time.
