Lauding seven advocates who have completed 50 years in the profession, Chief Justice of the Madras HC, A P Sahi said that they have emerged as pioneers & have shown the path to others.
The Chief Justice felicitated the seven advocates - R Janakiramalu, M Patturajan, K Sree Kumaran Nair, V K Vijayaraghavan, K Srinivasan, M S Balasubramania Iyer & N Balakrishnan at an event organised by the Madurai Bench of Madras HC Bar Associations (MMBA) on the court premises here on Tuesday evening.
In his felicitation address, Chief Justice Sahi said the members of the bar are fortunate to have people with such accomplishments. He said the lesson which other advocates should take is the dedication, experience & vision of these people who have emerged as pioneers despite the difficulties they faced. He stated that the service of these advocates to the society have been rightly rewarded today.
Earlier, the Chief Justice unveiled & garlanded a portrait of former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam at Madurai Bench of Madras HC Bar Associations (MMBA) hall.
The administrative judge of the HC Madurai bench justice M Duraiswamy & other sitting judges were present during the event. President of MMBA N Krishnaveni welcomed the gathering & general secretary of MMBA N Ilango proposed the vote of thanks.
