Internship Opportunity @Project 39A, NLU Delhi [Part-Time, Litigation]: Stipend Rs.3K/Month; Submit by Sep 3

Project 39 A is engaged in providing pro bono legal assistance to prisoners sentenced to death across the country. The Project is handling cases of more than 75 prisoners sentenced to death. Additionally, the Project is involved in strategic litigation aimed at challenging procedural and substantive aspects of the criminal justice system for the realization of constitutional rights of prisoners sentenced to death.

We are seeking to engage interns who would be willing to work part time after their classes. The interns will work closely with the litigation associates and will be involved in preparation of legal strategy and arguments for cases handled by the Project, and carry out related research. They will also assist in drafting criminal appeals, review petitions, writ petitions, applications, rejoinders and other legal documents.

Time duration

We are initially seeking volunteers who can devote time for three months.

Stipend

Interns will be paid a stipend of Rs 3,000 (Rupees Three Thousand Only) for every four week period of internship undergone.
