Twitter battle caused a trademark clash between US President Donald Trump and HBO. In a tweet by Donald Trump, a frozen cinematic image, the phrase "Sanctions are coming" is used which is quite similar to "Winter is Coming".

This phrase is used in a popular HBO show, "Game of Thrones". Channel has stated its displeasure stating that they would prefer if no one uses the phrase to promote their own agenda. They have accused the President of trademark infringement of these features.

The term "Winter is coming" is used to predict that an army will enter and conquer a land. This phrase is used in social media in many variations over the years.

In his tweet, the President has confirmed that the US government will reimpose sanctions on Iran.

However, the image, phrase, and font used by him resulted in a trademark clash between him and HBO. They have requested the President not to use their terms in any manner without seeking their permission.

The cinematic frozen image, the font, and the phrase are the trademark of the hit TV series "Game of Thrones" airing on HBO. So when President used this phrase without the permission of the channel, they accused him of trademark infringement. Several cast and crew members of the show, as well as the channel, has stated their displeasure over the inappropriate use of these things.
