Honda Manufacturing Unit Raid in Bawana Industrial Area, New Delhi

In a significant anti-counterfeiting action, Delhi Police and Authorized Representative from Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. successfully raided a business in Bawana Industrial Area, New Delhi seizing a substantial cache of counterfeit Honda two wheeler parts. The operation, led by Police Authorities, occurred on May 21, 2025; a manufacturing unit/ factory located in Bawana Industrial Area Sector-2, New Delhi following suspicions of large-scale counterfeit activity.

The raid targeted the unauthorized sale and distribution of fake Honda parts and accessories. Officers confiscated an extensive assortment of counterfeit Dye mold bearing HONDA, HONDA Air Filter, Outer Covering of Air Filter and Filter Paper. In total, nearly 141 Pieces of counterfeit HONDA products & 51.84 KG Raw Material of counterfeit products were impounded, marking a significant blow to the counterfeit trade in the region.

The action was initiated under Sections 63 & 65 of Copyright Act, 1957 and an F.I.R. under No. 0319/2025 was registered against the accused. All seized items have been stored in the Police warehouse and will be presented before a magistrate as part of the legal proceedings. According to Expert, the raid disrupted a major counterfeit supply chain and served as a deterrent to further illegal activities in the area.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has commended the police for their swift response and diligent action. The firm’s legal team has indicated that they will continue to collaborate closely with authorities to protect their brand from counterfeit operations, which pose risks to the company’s reputation and consumer safety.
