The 1st All India Judgment Writing Competition is organized by the Chanakya Moot Court Society (CMCS), a vibrant student-led body at the School of Law, Governance and Public Policy, Chanakya University, Bengaluru. SLGPP is renowned for its rigorous legal education, commitment to ethical values, and focus on experiential, research-based learning, fostering the next generation of legal professionals and leaders.
The competition invites law students nationwide to analyse a contemporary legal problem and draft a judgment as a sitting judge would. Designed to encourage analytical thinking, creativity, and practical legal application, the competition offers a challenging platform to showcase legal reasoning and drafting skills in alignment with evolving industry standards.
Open to law students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree programs at recognized universities or colleges across India. Only individual entries are accepted. Multiple registrations from the same institution are allowed.
India (host: Bengaluru, Karnataka). The event is conducted entirely online, making it accessible to students throughout the country.
Register individually via the official Google Form link (attached at the end of the post). After registration, participants receive a confirmation mail. Judgments must be submitted in compliance with the provided format, as a Word and PDF file, using the mail id provided in the brochure.
There are no registration fees. Participation is completely free.
Winners and runners-up receive digital coupons and e-certificates; all valid participants receive e- certificates of participation. Winning entries may be featured on the university website/social media.
