July,10,2016:

Saas did not allow the Couple to enter back into the family House.

Sagas of ‘Saas-Bahu’ are not new to our Country. However, this one is unique and with a twist.

It is reported that a Russian ‘Bahu’ has sat on Dharna outside the Residence of her Mother- in-laws in Indrapuri locality of Agra, UP.

She is seeking her husband’s share in her mother-in-law’s immovable property.

Protesting Bahu, Olga Efimenkova is quite adamant to not to end her protest until her husband is given his share. She continued to sit out despite rainfall.

Olga married Vikrant Singh Chandel of Agra in 2011 and they have a son out of this matrimony.

They had been living in Goa till late, but after they suffered losses in business, they decided to return to Agra.

But, when they couple reached their house, Vikrant’s mother Nirmala Chandel did not allow them to enter as she had gifted the property to her daughter, who is now running a school there.

Unhappy over her Saas's decision to deprive her husband of his share in the property, Bahu Olga decided to sit on a Dharna at the very doorstep of her Matrimonial House.

Olga is being supported by her Indian husband Vikrant.

Olga has informed New Agra police and Russian Embassy about her plight, but police refused to register a case as it is a property dispute of Civil nature between family members.

Nirmala Chandel, Olga’s mother-in-law, maintained that she is now living in a single room house and has gifted her house to her daughter who is in need of her help as she is estranged from her husband.

She said that she has already given Rs 11 lakh to her Son Vikrant and now she has nothing more left with her to give to him.

She rued that her son and Russian Bahu indulge in gamble and consume liquor and have never cared about her. HT
