This Capital City's Civic Body & Police have seized 5,589 abandoned vehicles, Willing to claim Ownership? Approach the Authorities

July 20, 2018:

Chennai City Corporation in its second phase of clearing the abandoned vehicles parked on roadside for long periods, and causing obstruction of the pedestrian movement, has seized 5,589 vehicles along with the City Police.

List of the vehicles which have been granted clearance certificate from City Police stating that it is not involved in any pending cases have now been listed on City Corporation’s website while 293 vehicles with the clearance certificates had already been listed.

Those willing to claim ownership of listed vehicles may do so within 15 days by approaching the respective Assistant Commissioners, Chennai Traffic Police. If not steps would be taken to auction the vehicles.
