ADHIVAKTA PARISHAD AND ONLINE LECTURE SERIES
ADHIVAKTA PARISHAD- Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, a registered Society under the Societies Act 1960, is working all over the country. Since its inception in the year 1992 Parishad is working towards the object of resurrecting Bharatiya values and ingraining idealism in the hearts of Advocates for improving efficacy and standards of the Bar and the Judiciary of the country. The Parishad has privilege of association of some of India's most prominent legal luminaries which include Justice Rama Jois (Retd.) Shri U. R. Lalit, Senior Advocate, Shri Uttam Chand Israni, Senior Advocate, Justice Pravatha Rao, (Retd.) Justice V. S. Kokje (Retd.) and many more.
Akhil Bharatiya Adhivakta Parishad, is biggest organization of Lawers in the World. Adhivakta Parishad, a body of lawyers having its units in all the States and Union Territories through affiliated State Bodies. It is an umbrella organization to different State bodies, having similar vision. The yearly meeting of National Executive and National Council of Parishad are held in different parts of the Country to ensure adequate represention of lawyers from every part of the Country. National Conference is held after every 3 years, which is attended by the members from all parts of the Country. Parishad conducts conferences, symposia and lectures on regular basis wherein Constitutional, National, Social, Legal, family and other issues affecting the society at large are discussed with the objective of making Advocates better equipped in their profession and to be better able to serve the cause of justice in consonance with Bharatiya traditions, values and sense of justice. For the benefit of young members of the Bar, the Parishad conducts study circles in all the Court complexes under its "Continuous Education Programme". Parishad is also engaged in various academic and intellectual exercises including publishing a quarterly journal, Nyayapravah, which publishes articles by eminent personalities on recent judgement, new laws, Justice delivery system and Bhartiya Values etc.
ONLINE LECTURE SERIES -In order to utilize this lockdown period and for the benefit of lawyers, initially Akhil Bhartiya Adhivakta Parishad organized an ‘Online Lecture Series’ in the name of Dattopant Thengadi Lecture Series. In the said Lecture Series several Senior Advocates , ASG or a Prominent Legal Personality share their views on a given subject/topic. Basically, the idea of Online Lecture Series is to benefit the more and more lawyers from the vast experience of Senior Advocate from the fraternity on a given subject to utilize this lockdown period.
In this Lecture Series till 02.05.2020 Adhivakta Parishad has organized 12 lectures which have been broadcasted live on Social Media Platforms. The timing of live lecture remains by 6.00 PM on daily basis from Monday to Saturday. During this Lecture Series members of Adhivakta Parishad have witnessed more than 8,000 subscribers on Youube within short spam of 2 weeks.
It is to note that Mr. Harish Salve, Senior Advocate, Mr. Rakesh Dwivedi, Senior Advocate, Mr. Siddharth Luthra, Senior Advocate, Mr. K.V.
