L&L Partners (formerly known as Luthra & Luthra) has hired ex-judicial magistrate from Jharkhand, Kanchan Jasmin Toppo, as a Senior Associate.
She had begun her judicial training in 2015, and was posted to Jharkhand as judicial magistrate first class in 2016, resigning in early 2019. It is not clear from the story or publicly available information when Toppo had graduated from Delhi University. She appears to have obtained an LLM from Delhi University between 2014 & 2016.
In 2016, former Metropolitan Magistrate and 2011 Graduate Bharat Chugh had also joined Luthra, as counsel.
Luthra Managing Partner Rajiv Luthra told, “We welcome both of them to the Luthra family. These hires will go a long way in delivering full service to our clients from all angles.”
Toppo told, “Having gained experience as a JM 1st class and after handling a wide variety of cases, I wanted to expand my field and gain more experience. Also, meeting Mr. Vijay K Sondhi, senior partner, L&L Partners, New Delhi gave wings to my dreams and I joined the firm under his mentorship.”
