The Central Government of India has assented to the appointment of two judicial officers as additional judges to Madras High Court.
The notification issued by Law Ministry has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i) Ms. R. Poornima, Shri M. Jothiraman and (ii) Dr. Augustine Devadoss Maria Clete, to be Additional Judges of the Madras High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”
