The Central Government of India has notified the transfer of two judges to Madras High Court. One judge is from Andhra Pradesh High Court and one from Telangana High Court.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer
- Shri Justice Battu Devanand, Judge, Andhra Pradesh High Court and
- Dr. Justice Devaraju Nagarjun, Judge, Telangana High Court
as Judges of the Madras High Court and to direct them to assume charge of their respective offices in the Madras High Court.”
