Senior Advocate Amar Preet Singh Deol has been appointed as new Advocate General for Punjab.

The notification issued by the government of Punjab has notified that “The Governor of Punjab, in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 165 of the Constitution of India, is pleased to appoint Sh. Amar Preet Singh Deol, Senior Advocate, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Rio H.No.1, Sector-4, Chandigarh, as Advocate General for the State of Punjab with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”

The post of advocate General was lying vacant from the resignation of Former Advocate General Atul Nanda.

Atul Nanda stepped down from the post of Advocate General after the resignation of the Punjab former CM Amrinder Singh.
