The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has filed a supplementary chargesheet before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S.B. Bhajipale in the Pornography racket case against businessman Raj Kundra who is the husband of Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty and his associate Ryan Thorpe, IT head of Kundra's company Viaan industries.
Two others, Pardeep Bakshi, Kundra’s brother-in-law and Arvind Kumar Srivastava have been shown as absconding in the charge sheet.
The charge sheet has been filed under section 354C, 292, 293 (sale of obscene material), 420 (cheating) and 201 (causing evidence to disappear) under the Indian Penal Code; Sections 67, 67A (transmission of sexually explicit material) under the Information Technology Act and Sections 3, 4, 6 and 7 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. The charge sheet cites more than 40 statements which also includes Shilpa Shetty’s statement.
