The President of India has assented to the appointment of two additional judges to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Hanneet Singh Grewal and (ii) Deepinder Singh Nalwa, to be Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, for a period of two years, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”
The High Court of Punjab and Haryana High Court had a sanctioned strength of 85 judges.
