A Public Interest Litigation was filed in Rajasthan High Court by Advocate Sahil seeking incentives for Covid 19 Medical Warriors such as Government and Private Hospitals Nurses and Doctors who have tirelessly worked for our nation. Therefore, the Plea aims to request the Court to ask the State to come up with a scheme that should benefit the Government and Private Hospitals and act as a morale booster in times of covid crisis.

Contents of the Plea

The plea stated that amid a shortage of medical infrastructure in the State in this Pandemic it is important to come up with a scheme with an incentive for Nurses and Doctors who have worked in the front line during the Crona Crisis.

It further stated that these incentives will help them maintain job security and boost them and that as Covid Warriors were not paid very high so, appropriate compensation should be given for their dedicated work. It was also contended that the Government should follow a compassionate appointment scheme especially for those medical staff persons who were sole bread earners of the family.

The plea even highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Package and stated that nearly 800 doctors and nurses have already succumbed to covid but till now no benefits have been provided to their families. Therefore, the State should come up with a scheme in Rajasthan to support the Covid Warriors.
