The High Court of Orissa has appointed 5 Retired Judicial Officers as Ad-hoc Additional District & Sessions Judges in different Fast Track Special Courts.
The notification issued by the High Court Orissa has notified that “The five Retired Judicial Officers are selected to be appointed as Ad-hoc Additional District & Sessions Judges in different Fast Track Special Courts as noted against their names, to deal with offences under the POCSO Act and Rape cases.”
The Designated Retired Judicial Officers are:
- Shri Aurobinda Kumar Guru
- Shri Prasanta Kumar Das
- Shri Krushna Chandra Rath
- Smt. Debadutta Devi
- Shri Durga Charan Mishra
About Additional Sessions Judge
The Sessions Judge of one sessions division may be appointed by the High Court to be also an Additional Sessions Judge of another division, and in such case he may sit for the disposal of cases at such place or places in the other division as the High Court may direct.
