The Central Government of India has assented to the appointment of Justice Robin Phukan, Additional Judge as Permanent Judge of the Gauhati High Court.
The notification issued by Law Ministry notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Robin Phukan, Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court, to be a Judge of the Gauhati High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”
