The Division Bench of the National Green Tribunal, comprising Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava and expert member Dr A Senthil Vel in the case of Rajendra Tyagi v. Union of India and Ors has issued notices to the Central government, the Uttar Pradesh government, and various public authorities, along with builders, in response to a plea alleging extensive illegal construction in Greater Noida and Noida.
The applicant has raised a grievance that unauthorized and illegal construction of houses, shops and other commercial establishments on large scale is in progress in Greater Noida and Noida in violation of environmental norm.
The Bench perused the facts of the case And observed that the applicant has raise substantial issue relating to compliance of the environmental norms.
Therefore, the bench issued notice to the respondents and listed the matter on 08.07.2024.
