The Central Government of India has assented for the appointment of Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Judge of the Allahabad High Court as the Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.

The notification issued by the Law Ministry notifies that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Judge of the Allahabad High Court, to be Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”
