President of India has assented to the transfer of Shri Justice Satish Kumar Sharma, Judge of the Rajasthan High Court, as a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to transfer Shri Justice Satish Kumar Sharma, Judge of the Rajasthan High Court, as a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court and to direct him to assume charge of his office in the Madhya Pradesh High Court.”

Rajasthan High Court has sanctioned strength of 50 judges, working with 29 judges only.

The Rajasthan High Court is the High Court of the state of Rajasthan. It was established on 29 August 1949 under the Rajasthan High Court Ordinance, 1949. The seat of the court is at Jodhpur. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 50.
