The High Court of Gujarat has ordered that Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra that was scheduled to take place on June 23 in Ahmedabad, won't be held in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier on Thursday, the Apex Court stayed the annual Rath Yatra at Jagannath Temple in Odisha's Puri, which was slated to being on June 23, & all activities related to the gathering in view of the COVID-19 pandemic this year.
A 3-Judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by CJI S A Bobde said that such gatherings can't take place at the time of the pandemic.
