The Gujarat High Court has decided to continue live streaming of Court proceedings even after the Court switching to physical mode.
The Gujarat High Court had started the live streaming after initial experimental live streaming from 26th October, 2020 of the Honourable Chief Justice’s Video Conferencing Court and then formal launch of live streaming Benches of the High Court on 17/07/2021 with coming into effect of the High Court of Gujarat (Live Streaming of Court Proceedings) Rules.
The live streaming is being done on the official YouTube Channel of the High Court which is now touching subscriber base of 75000 subscribers and total cumulative views of 53 lakhs.
The notification issued by the High Court states that “With this implementation, the High Court of Gujarat has again kept up with expectations of the stakeholders, by continuing to uphold the realization of the Open Court concept through live streaming also during the physical functioning of the Court.”
