The High Court of Calcutta has notified the vacation benches for the vacations starting from 25th October to 3rd November, 2021.
Vacation Benches shall sit at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. If any matter is released by a Division Bench on the personal ground of either of the Hon’ble Judges comprising the Bench or the order impugned is passed by a member of such Bench, then the same shall be heard by the Hon’ble Judge, who has not released the matter along with the senior Hon’ble Judge holding vacation Court on the particular day.
If any matter is released by any of the Single Benches, the same shall be heard by the other available Single Bench(es). No matter shall ordinarily be entertained at the residence of the Hon’ble Judges. In the absence of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, the senior-most Judge available in town shall exercise the determining power during the Annual/Puja Vacation.
