The President of India has assented to the appointment of one lawyer and two Judicial Officers as Permanent Judges of the Orissa High Court.
The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri
(1) Mruganka Sekhar Sahoo,
(2) Radha Krishna Pattanaik and
(3) Sashikanta Mishra,
to be Judges of the Orissa High Court, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”
The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 27, working with 14 judges only.
