India's first international arbitration and mediation centre was jointly inaugurated by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Chief minister handed over keys of two floors space at VK towers in Gachibowli to CJI Ramana for commencement of the operations temporarily. A permanent building is yet to be completely built at the land allotted by the state at Puppalaguda in Hyderabad.
CM Rao thanked CJI for choosing Hyderabad as the venue to set up this prestigious facility.
Life trustee of the centre, Justice RV Raveendran, Supreme Court judges Justice Lavu Nageswara Rao, Justice Hima Kohli, scores of judges from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and state industries minister K Taraka Rama Rao were present at the inauguration.
