The President of India has assented to the appointment of  Three additional judges of the Bombay High Court, Justices Madhav Jayajirao Jamdar, Amit Bhalchandra Borkar and Shrikant Dattatray Kulkarni as permanent judges.

The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that ‘In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri Justices (i) Madhav Jayajirao Jamdar, (ii) Amit Bhalchandra Borkar and (iii) Shrikant Dattatray Kulkarni, Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court, to be Judges of the Bombay High Court, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices..

The High Court of Bombay had a sanctioned strength of 94, functioning with 60 judges only.
