BCI Chairperson, Manan Kumar Mishra has requested Chief Justice DY Chandrachud to declare holiday for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
The Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav (consecration ceremony) of the Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya's Ram temple is scheduled on January 22, 2024. The presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries will made the event more significant.
The letter written by BCI Chairperson made reference to the November 9, 2019, judgment of the Supreme Court which highlights the historical and legal background of the Ayodhya dispute.
