The President of India has assented to the appointment of two Additional Judges to the Allahabad High Court.

The notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (1) Saurabh Srivastava and (2) Om Prakash Shukla, to be Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court, for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”

Allahabad High Court has sanctioned strength of 160 judges, working with 94 judges only.
